-- Junior attack player Richie Ford (Baltimore, MD) scored three goals and had an assist to lift No. 2 Stevenson (Md.) to an 11-5 victory over NO. 16 Western New England College in a non-league contest Sunday afternoon (March 7).

WNEC trailed 2-0 after the opening period and trailed 5-1 before goals by sophomore midfielder Patrick White (Milton, MA) and sophomore attacker Andrew Mariani (East Brunswick, NJ)  made it a two-point game at halftime.

Western New England College pulled within 5-4 when freshman attacker Corrigan Harreys (Deep River, CT) scored his first collegiate goal in a man-up situation at the 12:03 mark of the third period.

Stevenson then scored the last four goals of the quarter and twice in the opening 2:17 of the final stanza to break the game open. Cougler had both his goals to spark the run.

Junior midfielder Mike Santare (South Salem, NY) led the Golden Bears with two goals and an assist.

Sophomore goalie Brewster Knowlton (Somers, CT) compiled 15 saves.

Senior Geoff Hebert (Lutherville, MD) stopped six shots for the Mustangs.
