Andre Shaw and Elena Radzikowski named Western New England College Athletes-of-the-Week

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Basketball players Andre Shaw (Jamaica, NY) and Elena Radzikowski (Medway, MA) were honored Wednesday (Feb. 3) as the Western New England College Male and Female Athletes-of-the-Week.
Shaw, a sophomore guard, averaged 17.0 points and 3.5 assists in a 0-2 week for the Golden Bears. He tallied 15 points and dished-out five assists in a 92-79 loss at Nichols, and netted 19 points (9-for-18 from the field) in an 87-79 defeat against the University of New England. Shaw is a Communication major.
Radzikowski, a freshman center, also averaged 17.0 points coming off the bench while shooting 68.4% from the floor (13-for-19) in a 1-1 week. She tossed in 15 points and pulled down 15 rebounds in a 77-68 victory at Nichols and added 19 points, three rebounds, and three assists in a 57-54 loss against conference leader University of New England. An Exploratory major, Radzikowski also was named The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Rookie-of-the-Week.
