SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Western New England College sophomores Marisa Hebert (Saco, ME) and Nicole Poli (Medfield, MA) ranked among the top NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse statistics leaders this spring.
Hebert, an attack player, tied for first nationally (with Layne Woodard of Greensboro College in North Carolina) in draw controls with a 6.2 per game average.
She hit double figures five times in her category with a career high 14 draw controls against New England College on April 8.
Hebert is a Criminal Justice major.
Poli, a defender, led the nation for the second consecutive year in caused turnovers with a 5.0 mark.
She tied her career high with nine caused turnovers against Colby-Sawyer on March 28.
A Political Science major, Poli also ranked eighth nationally in ground balls with a 4.8 average with nine coming against both Colby-Sawyer and Gordon on April 18.
