GENESEO, N.Y. - Nine players scored goals as the SUNY Geneseo men's hockey team claimed a 9-2 victory over visiting Western New England College in a non-league contest Saturday night (Dec. 12) before 1,340 fans at the Wilson Ice Arena.
The Blue Knights tallied five goals in the first period, scored four power play goals in seven attempts, and added a pair of short-handed scores in raising their record 5-7.

Phil Rose (Pittsford, NY) and sophomore forward
David Arduin (Halfmoon Bay, BC) each had a goal and two assists for the hosts.
WNEC junior forward
Chris Beaudoin (Enfield, CT) scored his second goal of the season in the opening period with an assist from freshman forward
Nico Santaniello (East Longmeadow, MA).
Sophomore defenseman
Zach Blauvelt (Lewiston, ME) notched his first career goal 1:08 into the second period to get the Golden Bears within 5-2. Santaniello and freshman forward
Anthony Willett (Springfield, MA) earned the assists.
Geneseo took a 6-2 lead when sophomore forward
Stefan Decosse (North Vancouver, BC) fired in a shot at the 6:55 mark. The Blue Knights added their last three goals in the third period.
Junior goalie
Justin Richards (Somers, CT) compiled 48 saves for Western New England College who now has a 1-9-1 mark at the semester break.
