WENHAM, Mass. - The Western New England College women's cross-country team came in 22nd among 27 schools at the Gordon Pop Crowell Invitational Saturday (Oct. 3).
There was a large field of 290 runners and junior captain
Angela Koontz (Marblehead, MA) was the Golden Bears' top performer finishing 98th with a time of 22 minutes, 9 seconds over the 5,000-meter course.
Sophomore
Nicole Copertino (Shelton, CT) was the next WNEC runner to cross the finish line with a time of 22:40 for 122nd place.
Wellesley captured the team title as freshman
Randelle Boots was the individual champion (18:55).
