SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Western New England College women's cross-country team placed ninth among 15 schools at its own WNEC Invitational Saturday (Oct. 17) during Family & Friends Weekend.
Freshman
Hannah Laviolette (Three Rivers, MA) was the Golden Bears' top runner finishing 22nd among 137 competitors with a time of 21 minutes, 37.10 seconds over the 5,000-meter campus course.
Junior captain
Angela Koontz (Marblehead, MA) was the next WNEC performer taking 28th in 21:59.
Salve Regina was the team champion as freshman
Paige Pallotto came in second (19:33).
Margaret Klein of Castleton was the individual champion (19:29).
