WNEC Golden Bears participate in the Westfield James Earley Invitational

WESTFIELD, Mass. - The Western New England College women's cross-country team came in 22nd among 25 schools at the 14th Annual Westfield State James Earley Invitational Saturday (Oct. 10) at Stanley Park.
WNEC's top runner was junior captain
Angela Koontz (Marblehead, MA) who finished 70th among 266 competitors with a time of 22 minutes, 12.16 seconds over the 5,000-meter course.
Junior
Nicole Copertino (Shelton, CT) placed 108th in 23:03.43.
Westfield State senior
Kerry Arouca was the individual champion with a time of 18:57.49.
Southern Maine took the team title.
