JACKIE BEERS, Women's Cross-Country
This week in “Golden Bear Profile” we have a double dose of cross-country runners.
First, from the women’s team, is Jackie Beers of Litchfield, Connecticut, who is a senior captain. She will be running in the NCAA Division III New England Regional Championship on Saturday (Nov. 15). in Williamstown, Massachusetts.

Why did you decide to come to Western New England College?
“The atmosphere was comfortable. I felt welcomed on campus and it was a place I knew I could get a good athletic and academic experience.”
What’s your most memorable moment on the cross-country team here at Western New England College?
“Winning the GNAC championship two years in a row and coming in 10th to be on the All-TCCC conference team during the first year (we joined it).”
What are your plans for after graduation?
“Hopefully getting a job in any area of sports.”
